一年の折り返し、6月30日の「夏越の祓（なごしのはらえ）」にいただく和菓子、「水無月（みなづき）」の販売が始まりました♪
水無月は、三角形のういろう生地に小豆をのせたお菓子
この形は、昔、宮中で氷室（ひむろ）に保存された氷を口にして暑気払いをしていた風習にちなみ、氷を模した三角形となっています
小豆には「邪気を払う」意味があり、一年の後半も健康に過ごせますようにとの願いが込められています。

Minazuki ⛩️
We’re now offering Minazuki, a traditional Japanese sweet enjoyed on June 30th during the ritual of Nagoshi no Harae, the “Mid-Year Purification.”
Minazuki is a triangle-shaped uhiro (steamed rice cake) topped with sweet red beans.
Its distinctive shape is said to represent blocks of ice, recalling a time when people in the imperial court would eat ice from icehouses (hi-muro) to ward off summer heat.
The red beans are believed to ward off evil spirits, and the sweet carries the hope of good health for the second half of the year. Enjoy this elegant seasonal treat to mark a meaningful moment in the Japanese calendar
