The charity tea party we introduced previously was successfully held this time. The snack chosen for the event was "Kisewata", a type of Nerikiri sweet.
"Kisewata" is a Japanese sweet associated with the Double Ninth Festival on September 9th, and is shaped like a chrysanthemum flower. There is a custom of covering chrysanthemum flowers with cotton and leaving it overnight, and then the next morning purifying the body with the cotton, which contains the scent and dew of the flowers, in hopes of warding off evil spirits and granting eternal youth and longevity.
In the tea room on the day of the event, participants enjoyed "Kisewata" along with delicious tea, and enjoyed a quiet moment. Please see here for photos of the tea room from the event.
